      Clara,
You are wonderful and watching your video makes me so nostalgic being reminded of my own Italian grandmother and my mother who both lived through the depression and carried so many of the delightful and simple recipes to future generations. You are truely a marvel. May God keep you healthy and delightful for many years to come. God Bless You.

I just got your book; and my dd insisted we read it cover to cover. You are helping another generation through some tough economic times by sharing what you went through during the Great Depression. It could very well be that countlesss children will go to bed tonight with full bellies and be spared hunger and deprivation because of what you have shared with us all. I pray for continued good health and God’s continued blessing on your life for helping othersGod bless you Miss Clara.

@fonzi0was0cool Sometimes you can slice up a potato and boil it, if there is enough liquid. The potatoes will absorb some of the salt. Take them out when they’re soft, before they get mushy. This won’t take all of the salt out, but it should help. Also, you can try putting in a little sugar to balance the salt flavor out if there is just a little too much salt left.

Dear Clara, I just love your videos, reminds me of my mother and grandmother during the depression. I’m just a 78 year old kid but I think about the good old days very often. And try to teach my grandkids about the values during those tough but wonderful days. For how I live now and another prospective plus some laughs go to 911 pasta tony. Best regards and a long and wonderful life to you. We need more people like you to stay around a while longer.
