I just got your book; and my dd insisted we read it cover to cover. You are helping another generation through some tough economic times by sharing what you went through during the Great Depression. It could very well be that countlesss children will go to bed tonight with full bellies and be spared hunger and deprivation because of what you have shared with us all. I pray for continued good health and God’s continued blessing on your life for helping othersGod bless you Miss Clara.

Clara you chose the right dish to show how to make POTATOES they have been around a long time . I myself can eat potatoes every day of the week any style you want to cook them. Don’t need to add meat when I don’t have any. I’ll add some meat when payday comes around.

Nowadays almost everyone cooks, men or women. I’m a woman, and when I go to friends’ houses, i expect them to cook for me, doesn’t matter male friend or female friend. When they come over to my house, I reciprocate by doing the cooking. We all enjoy cooking anyway. It’s no longer a gender thing, unless you live in those backward, primitive societies, like some places in the Middle East, India, Pakistan, Asia, or Africa, where men are still insecure.

I am only 16, but I have been eating this all my life. Only my family calls it “goulash”. And we add cream corn to it as well. It was the first meal I learned how to cook. I could eat it all day, it’s simple and amazing.

In a lot of her other videos, I think she uses Olive oil, but it looks like she’s maybe using Vegetable oil in this one? Can anyone tell me if it makes a difference which one I use?

I’ve lost weight because I learned to cook using only quality ingredients. And by quality, I do not mean more expensive. Not even the Russians at the height of the Stalin era used some of the crap that corporations now routinely put into packaged meals.
